Activities in the Creuse
When you have so much free space around you, many leisure activities are possible : hiking, running, bycicle riding, horse riding, ... meny trails are marked !
And the fishing along those 3400 km of rivers and brooks, around the 7400 acres of ponds and lakes : even the most demanding fisherman will find what he his looking for !
You can find clubs where to practice shooting or archery, or mountain climbing.
If you feel like being in the air, you have clubs for gliding, for flying small or microlight aircraft or for paragliding.
Naturally you can play tennis, inside or outdoors. at Guéret you have a parc with animals such as wolves and an observatory.
In many towns and villages you will find different craftmen & artists (grafics, pictures, sculptures); the main art is the tapistry in Aubusson and Felletin.

LAKES:
In the Creuse you can find all kind of lakes : the biggest one covers 2470 acres and there are many others, smaller ones, such as the "Courtille" near Guéret, wich is well equiped; another at St-Vaudry, at Vassievre, at Champsanglad, at Masmangeas, ... On some of them, you can go sailing or windsurfing, on others you can take a canoe or a kayak.
